Tools for Delivery and SuccessChewing gumThe Chewing Gum Action Group (CGAG) seeks sustainable solutions to irresponsible gum disposal. It is chaired by Defra with representatives from the gum manufacturers, the Local Government Association, Chartered Institution of Wastes Management, ENCAMS and local authorities. Drawing on research into the attitudes of gum droppers and findings from pilot campaigns, CGAG developed a Best Practice Guide which explains how to run a successful gum litter campaign. This covers aspects such as campaign activity, enforcement, education and working with local media. The information has also been compiled into an ENCAMS Knowledge Bank, copies of which can be obtained from enquiries@encams.org Food on the goFood on the go - mini code of practice is a voluntary code of practice for Local Partnerships and is a shortened version of the Voluntary Code of Practice for Reducing Litter Caused by Food on the Go.
