Streetscape Decluttering Audits enable local authorities to improve their streets and save money on maintenance and liabilities by identifying and removing unnecessary clutter. Living Streets has experienced auditors who work with local authorities to use streetscape decluttering audits as a means of establishing best practice. Information on organising an audit is available at www.livingstreets.org.uk

English Heritage has audit forms to assess the condition of street furniture. These are designed to be used by members of the public and could prove a useful tool in involving the community. They allow people to record and report to their local authority, via their ward councillor, areas of cluttered streets that require action. Copies of street audit forms are available to download at www.english-heritage.org.uk
