Tools for Delivery and Success

Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs)

These unite local authorities, public services, private, voluntary and community organisations and local people to improve local areas and services. They have a lead role in determining the development of the Sustainable Community Strategy from which other local strategies are developed. They also help develop Local Area Agreements (LAAs) and potentially Multi Area Agreements (MAAs) as outlined in the Local Government White Paper – Strong and prosperous communities. Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships

These bring together a wide range of local authorities and groups, including police and fire services, primary care trusts, probation boards, parish councils, schools, social landlords, transport providers and retailers. Together, these partners develop a Crime and Disorder Reduction Strategy based on local priorities and an audit of local problems. Further details are available from www.crimereduction.gov.uk
