The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister have produced comprehensive guidance to help practitioners tackle s.215 offences.

Rochadale's approach to fly posting includes sending out letter's to deter people.

Tara Dumas, the Clean and Green Co-ordinator, is the officer involved and before she sends a letter she has an informal chat with the perpetrator and lets them know a warning letter is on the way and explains in more detail the reasons for their zero tolerance approach. That way, they understand they are not being singled out.

To date a lot of the fly posting has disappeared and not come back.

Sparkling Southampton - tackling Enviro-crime

The main aims of this project are

To develop best practice guidelines for ways of reducing environmental crime, including flytipping, flyposting, graffiti and nuisance vehicles
To produce an integrated action plan for Southampton that reduces graffiti and fly posting and raises the awareness with key stakeholders of the impact it has on reducing the overall quality of the local environment.
