DCLG held a second series of regional seminars based on the Cleaner Safer Greener Communities How To... programme. How To... Create Quality Parks and Open Spaces ran from 4th to 13th July 2006 at Ashton Court Mansion in Bristol, Mile End Park in London, Abbey Park in Leicester, The Dorman Museum in Middlesborough, and Croxteth Hall in Liverpool.

Operational staff responsible for maintaining parks and open spaces in their regions attended the seminars to hear presentations from DCLG, CABE Space, Civic Trust and a local Parks service provider. The main focus of the day was on interactivity and the sharing of knowledge, experience and best practice amongst the delegates.
